Fatigue
Although fatigue and sleepiness can overlap, understanding the difference helps guide the right treatment approach. Someone experiencing fatigue may feel physically exhausted but unable to nap, or mentally drained without being able to fall asleep. Fatigue often has multiple contributing factors, including irregular routines, medication side effects, alcohol use, deconditioning, dehydration, and nutritional factors. Together, we examine common patterns that may be contributing to fatigue and develop practical strategies to address them. Behavioral approaches can be especially useful because fatigue is often shaped by what happens throughout the entire day, not just before sleep.
